To transform how customers engage in-store, we implemented a Progressive Web App (PWA) paired with a POS-integrated loyalty system that extended the joy of scooping ice cream into the digital space.

1. Click & Collect at the POS

Customers could build their order online and pick it up in-store with a real-time sync to POS systems, reducing wait times and enabling smoother fulfillment.

2. Brownie Points Loyalty Wallet

For every order placed, customers earned Brownie Points—Ben & Jerry’s exclusive loyalty currency. Points were visible in a digital wallet, where users could track their balance and redeem points in future orders.

3. Refer & Earn at the Register

We added a referral program that rewarded customers with points when their friends signed up and placed their first order. This created a low-cost, high-trust growth loop powered by word-of-mouth.

4. Gamified POS Engagement: Spin the Wheel

To make visits more exciting, customers were offered the chance to spin a digital wheel and win surprise rewards like bonus points, discounts, or freebies.

5. Real-Time Surveys on the Spot

After an in-store transaction, customers received a quick dynamic survey , helping stores collect feedback and boost service quality with no extra steps.

6. AirDrop Bonus Points via POS Triggers

If customers hadn’t visited in a while, the POS triggered targeted AirDrop rewards : A smart nudge encouraging them to come back for more scoops.
